OVERVIEW: For this comprehensive redesign project, I redesigned the website for the Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center, a local nonprofit dedicated to fostering unity, advocacy, and support for LGBTQ+ communities across Greensboro and the Piedmont Triad. The redesign focused on creating an intuitive and accessible digital experience that clearly communicates the organization’s mission while driving engagement through donations, volunteer opportunities, and event participation. I developed responsive mobile and desktop prototypes in Figma with the LGBTQ+ community, their families, and allies in mind, ensuring the platform effectively supports youth, transgender individuals, families, and older adults through improved access to programs and resources.
Special attention was given to highlighting their community programs like Melanin & MagiQ and the Gender-Affirming Closet through dedicated program cards, while the resources section was reimagined with intuitive quick links to essential guides and materials. The visual storytelling approach incorporates authentic photography from actual events, creating an emotional connection and demonstrating real community impact.
This redesign successfully balances organizational needs with user experience, resulting in a digital platform that not only communicates the Foundation's mission but actively supports its goals of community building, resource sharing, and advocacy.
